- Handle the application process — leave applications with our staff for candidates to pick up and drop off until you are ready for them

Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC)
WOTC gives Ohio employers a federal tax credit for hiring individuals from certain target groups of disadvantaged job seekers.
Subsidized Employment Plan (SEP)
Subsidized employment means jobs for which the employer receives a subsidy from public funds to offset some or all of the cost of employing an individual. The participant is paid wages and receives the same benefits as any other employee doing similar work.
SEP is training provided by an employer. During the training the participant does productive, paid work while gaining the knowledge and skills the job requires. Employers commit to hire and retain the participant at the end of a successful training period — so trainees earn a wage as they learn, and employers build the skills they need.

What Perry County JFS does for your business
- Provides PRC applications to all applicants at your company
- Determines eligibility — a PCJFS caseworker reviews each applicant against TANF (Temporary Assistance for Needy Families) guidelines and issues a Notice of Approval when eligibility is met
- Processes the contract — once you have interviewed and hired internally, the employer/employee contract is submitted to PCJFS for the director’s signature and records
- Promotes your openings on OhioMeansJobs, on Facebook and our website, on our internal job boards, and in the weekly job leads packet
- Provides space for open interviews
